October Again
Words and Music by Tom May
The most emotional month for me.
October Again, I’d almost forgotten
The taste of an apple form a Hood River tree
The smell of the wood fires, the feel of the autumn
The touch of your skin, as you lay beside me
The candles did burn on those cold nights together
The Oregon rain played its symphony song
The silence between us, never sounded better
There was laughter and love, in those hours before dawn
October again, the leaves have now fallen
The late summer timber has gone to the mill
I wake in the night, and it’s your name I’m callin’
But there’s no one to hear, do you think of me still
Sometimes I wonder how my life would be different
If there was no need for leavin’, no need to pretend
That I’ll be OK, and that I won’t ever wish for
That Oregon rain, and October again
October Again, I’d almost forgotten
The taste of an apple form a Hood River tree
The smell of the wood fires, the feel of the autumn
The touch of your skin, as you lay beside me
The smell of the wood fires, the feel of the autumn
The touch of your skin, as you lay beside me
